Young Buddhist Monks in “Pirivena”
(Pirivena is the Traditional name of the Temple school where young monks are studding - Age of the student Monks 8 to 20 years )

If we placed Young volunteers in Pirivna they will be able to serve the Buddhist monks and lean Buddhism, and received the well respects from the village community.

Presently there is know way of receiving English Teachers for Pirivena in Sri Lanka.

On the other hand here is no need of placing volunteers to government schools in Sri Lanka as there are sufficient English Teachers in government schools in Sri Lanka. All schools in Sri Lanka is belongs to the government excluding very few International schools.

 

English Teaching in Pre Schools
All pre school Education is private in Sri Lanka. Government is not running re Schools in Sri Lanka.
Most of the pre schools in rural villages are run by community based organizations. Most of the Teachers in Rural Pre schools are not talented to teach English for their students.

Teaching English in Village level pre school will be appreciate very much by the rural communities.
Our partner organization will place Asia Volunteers in rural Pre schools with home stay in the same village . Most of these Pre schools are operating as Day care centers also.
