Accommodation
Volunteers - Sri Lanka are based on home
stay accommodation. As Sri Lanka is a
developing third world country
volunteers should not expect luxurious
accommodation. How ever Volunteers- Sri
Lanka will provide your accommodation
with following minimum facilities.
Some times volunteers will be asked to
stay in hostels with shared living
quarters. Specially when a volunteer
attach to an Orphanage the accommodation
will be provide in a separate room in
the orphanage or in the official
quarters of the Metron of the orphanage.
A separate room with
electricity and accessible toilets. When
volunteers arrive Sri Lanka with a
friend of her/his of same sex from the
same country shared room will be provide
for them.
How ever opposite
genders are not allowed to stay in one
room unless they are married or engaged
to be married.
It’s the
responsibility of volunteers to bring
their own towels and type of soap, tooth
paste etc using.. Host family will
provide only bed sheets, Pillows,
Mosquito nets etc..
Volunteers - Sri
Lanka is not responsible to provide
accommodation after completion of the
agreed period .

Food
Volunteers - Sri Lanka will provide
local food (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)
three times per day to the volunteers.
During their period of home stay.
Mineral Water, especial deity and
beverage are not provide by the
Volunteers - Sri Lanka.
It’s the
responsibility of volunteer to arrange
their food during their tours , visits
or any other programs which are not
include in the program itinerary
prepared and agreed with the Volunteers
- Sri Lanka.
In most cases
Volunteers - Sri Lanka will provide Food
for volunteers through the Host Families
, Who are having past experience and
skills in providing local food as to
suit for overseas volunteers.
During Travel
,programs include in the agreed
itinerary Volunteers - Sri Lanka will
provide food for volunteers from
suitable restaurants on the basis of set
manue. Paying for the Exotic food order
by the volunteers during travel is
impossible .
Volunteers - Sri
Lanka will provide accommodation and
food for the agreed period only. If any
volunteer arrives early or stays after
the completion of the agreed period it’s
the responsibility of the volunteer to
arrange his /her accommodation and food
during extra period.

Placement
Arrangements
Volunteers - Sri Lanka will organized
the placement arrangements for all
volunteers as to match their personal
needs and interest. As Sri Lanka is a
developing third world country there may
be slightly differences mention in the
web site and in actual placements,
relevant with standard of the project
where volunteers are placed.

Air Port Reception
Volunteers - Sri Lanka will send one if
their officer to well come you at the
air port. Send your flight details to
the central office of the volunteers -
Sri Lanka . Two weeks before your
departure
Volunteers Sri Lanka
will send one of their representative to
receive you at the air port. Its your
responsibility to inform the Volunteers
- Sri Lanka on your flight details at
least one week before your arrival.
In the case of
unexpected delays or Flights change on
the way Volunteers - Sri Lanka will try
its best to get correct information of
your arrival through the aviation
authorities. Try to contact Volunteers -
Sri Lanka immediately on your changes of
the arrival details.
If our representative
has not arrived with in two hours of the
time that were to be collected due to
unforeseen circumstances , you go to our
local contact hotel and informed us. We
will reimburse the taxi fare you paid.
If your departure
from Sri Lanka is with in two days after
completion of your volunteer program ,
Volunteers - Sri Lanka Air will provide
Air Port Transportation. In the case of
extending your stay on your own after
the Project period is over volunteers -
Sri Lanka does not normally provide
transport to the air port.

Travel Insurance
Volunteers - Sri Lanka offers
comprehensive insurance for all
volunteers during their agreed period of
Stay in Sri Lanka. In the case of any
Volunteer need to extend their Insurance
coverage before or after the completion
of agreed Volunteer period contact us
before your departure to Sri Lanka.

Responsibilities
of Volunteers.
It’s the responsibility of all
volunteers to respect the Traditional
Sri Lanka culture. Our representative
will let you know how to follow the
local culture and customs during his or
her entire stay in the host country.

Manage your Travel
It’s the responsibility of volunteers to
organized and pay for your international
traveling. You are advises to visit Sri
Lanka on Tourist Visa which you will
received at the International Air port -
Sri Lanka for one month with out paying
any Visa Fee. In the case of your
Volunteer period is exceeding 30 Days,
you have to extend your visa by paying a
Visa Fee .This process is very easy and
our national office will co-ordinate .
Its your responsibility to pay the Visa
Extension Fee.
Or you can apply to the Sri Lanka
diplomatic mission in your country for
Visa .in this case you will received
necessary documents from Volunteers -
Sri Lanka by request.

Other conditions
Volunteers are not allowed to smoke or
taking alcoholic beverages inside
projects or in host family premises.
Volunteers will not
engaged in any missionary activities.
Volunteers will not involved in any
criminal activities such as sexual
abuse, carrying or using drugs,
negotiating terrorist groups,
involvement in political activities, etc
A Volunteer or group
of volunteers will not travel alone
after dark.
Volunteers will not
swim in any Lake or river in the island.
Volunteers will dress
appropriately , respecting the culture
of community.
Failure to obey any
of the above conditions will immediate
terminate the program with no refund.

Cancellation and
Refund Policy.
US$ 100 application
fee is strictly non refundable.
If a volunteer
cancels program less than 6 weeks prior
to the date of commitment of the
volunteer placement , Volunteers - Sri
Lanka ill refund 80% of the total
volunteer Fee paid.
If a volunteer
cancels program less than 4 weeks prior
to the date of commitment of the
volunteer placement , Volunteers - Sri
Lanka ill refund 50% of the total
volunteer Fee paid
If a volunteer cancels program less than
2 weeks prior to the date of commitment
of the volunteer placement , Volunteers
- Sri Lanka ill refund 25% of the total
volunteer Fee paid.
If a volunteer
cancels program after joining the
program , no refund will be made.
If a volunteer
cancels program, due to any sudden out
break of disease, political instability,
natural disasters Volunteers - Sri Lanka
will refund the program fees of
remaining program period.

Volunteers - Sri
Lanka reserves the right to cancel
or alter volunteer program if volunteer
fail to one all the rules and
regulations as outline in the terms and
conditions section of this agreement.
